Everything business owners, agents, and ISOs ask about statement analysis, fair rates, and hidden processing fees.
Merchant Statement Scanner is a SaaS tool that helps business owners, payment agents, and ISOs upload merchant processing statements, extract fees and rates, and understand true effective cost — including red flags for hidden or excessive fees.
It’s built for small and mid-size business owners who take cards, payment agents and ISOs who review merchant portfolios, and finance teams who need a clean view of processing cost without reading 20-page PDFs by hand.
Compare total fees to card volume (effective rate), separate interchange and assessments from processor markup, and watch for junk fees (PCI non-compliance, high batch fees, unexplained minimums). Our Quality Score (coming soon in-product) will summarize fairness for your volume and industry; the scanner already surfaces the fee lines you need to start that review.
Effective rate is total processing fees divided by total card volume, usually shown as a percentage. A low advertised rate can still produce a high effective rate if junk fees and markups add up.
Interchange-plus (IC+) passes through card brand interchange and assessments, then adds a transparent processor markup (percent and/or per-item). It is often fairer than tiered pricing when disclosed clearly.
We accept PDF statements only (up to 40MB). Text-based PDFs work best; scanned image PDFs may extract less accurately. We support many processors including Fiserv, Elavon, Worldpay, TSYS, Chase, Square, Stripe, Clover, and more.
Pro is $3/month for 1 user. Ultimate is $5/month for up to 25 users. Enterprise is custom — request a quote on the Enterprise page. Subscribe from Billing after you create an account; cancel anytime from the billing portal.
Yes. Create client records (business name, MID, processor, notes) and attach statements to each merchant so you can compare fees across your book of business.
Accounts are password protected. Account data lives in Postgres. Uploaded statement files are stored in Vercel Blob under each user’s unique ID folder. Always use a strong password and don’t share login credentials.
Quality Score is our fair-pricing signal for a merchant’s statement — designed to reflect whether fees look reasonable for volume and card mix. Full scoring logic is rolling out; today you can already extract fees, rates, and effective cost to spot problems early.
We analyze and clarify statements so you (or your agent) can negotiate with facts. Agents and ISOs often use the output as a leave-behind for merchants.
